Yes, we went there and named this section “Shards” from the urban term meaning, well, you know what it means.  Our definition simply means something that is so ridiculously void of intellect that it needs to be set apart from the rest of the pack.  Enjoy!

In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify.  His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, ‘passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it.’”

The thud that you just heard was the sound of my jaw hitting the floor.  Now, to be fair, I have said some pretty dumb things in my life and afterwards I do wish that I could have retracted it.  I am sure that Senator Dodd feels the same way after seeing the comment in print.  But still, you’ve gotta wonder what goes through a politician’s head sometimes.
